API Keys

An API Key is a unique token that authenticates and authorizes your requests to the Aptoide Connect API, ensuring secure access to your account data and services. On this page you generate and manage the keys your applications use to interact with the API.

To integrate with our services via API, you must first generate a valid key within the Developer Console. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the API Keys page.
  2. Click the Generate button to create your API Key. This action will automatically generate a unique key.
  3. Click Copy to save the key in a secure location, as you won’t be able to view it again after clicking Got It.

For security reasons, the full API key is only displayed once. After clicking "Got It" or closing the modal, you will not be able to retrieve the plain-text value again..

Can I maintain multiple active API Keys? Yes, you can generate and manage multiple keys simultaneously to support different applications.

What should I do if an API Key is lost or compromised? If a key is lost or its security is compromised, you must disable the lost key and generate a new one immediately to maintain the integrity of your integration.
